So-How many Jan 20th unemployed Liberals now have a job?
If so, which one? Private Business pay for performance & results OR Government do-nothing, clock watching variety?

I am pretty sure tRCMB poster and former Obama campaign worker pistonsgirl is also gainfully employed
There's two.
Now I would like to know how many that were employed on Jan 20th are currently unemployed. I am guessing the lefties that fall into this category won't reveal themselves.

Last time unemployment was this high was 1983 after Reagan had been President for over 2 years which to you righties was a Carter hangover.
But after 5 months the figures today are all Obama's fault
There is an R in Hypocrisy.
Since Jan 20 I have gotten a much better (Private- Pay for performance) job than I had.
Praise and hail BO for it? ...........

Why? It's not Obama's fault.

I have a merit pay raise coming and my 403(b) is thriving. My other mutual funds portfolio is strong as well. My wife got a nice raise too. Thank you President Obama!
Don't forget, GRR, in addition to the righty hypocisy on the 1983 number, when Dubya had been in office and the economy was taking it was all Clinton's fault. It's the "everyone it to blame but us" game the righties like to play.

Not sure I count, seeing as how I am a student working part time on campus, but I got laid off from one campus job in February (I think, don't remember the exact date), and got another, higher paying campus job in May.

Sure - And the NFL is the same game today as it as in 1983.
Somewhat different environment today compared to then.

Yep. The current economic crisis is much broader and more deeply layered than the one in the early 1980s.
And, thanks to republicans running up the debt (along with a changing world economic dynamic), the options to fight an economic slump are much more limited and have greater long term repercussions today.

Correct. Obama inherited the deepest recession in 60 years, what Reagan inherited was nirvana in comparison and still the R Jackals don't get it

Reagan also said it would only take two weeks from when he was inaugurated for unemployment and inflation to both go to zero, and that double digit GDP growth would be restored before Easter. Hmmph. Two years. Epic fail.

Ummmm.... Yeah. Let's see. Carter bequeathed Reagan stagflation. High unemployment, high inflation, and interest rates near 20%.
Plus Reagan did not have same party control of the house, unlike Obama.
Reagan also had to deal with dismantling a more regulated infrastructure. Today, there is wider information dissemination and the advent of increased electronic financial transactions, make for an easier time to implement policy. Obama has in essence a nicely paved 6 lane interstate to get his simulus going. Back in the early 80s, Reagan had a two lane dirt road by comparison.
But hey. Nice try. Thanks for playing. Be sure to pick up your parting gifts. The home version of "Economics for Dummies" and a case of Turtle Wax.

Still got your WIN button?
Yeah Reagan faced a very stubborn Congress and that's why he got his tax bill passed in 1981

Weren't the GOP talking heads blaming Carter for Reagan's 1983 numbers?
