Why don't we get bombarded with Butch Davis updates or Todd Grantham slurpers?
If there's one guy i would've liked over MD at the time of the hiring it would've been Butch Davis. Why aren't we inundated with knee pad jockey's stating his case?  
Guy rebuilt a power at Miami and is doing a good job at basketball school in UNC.

Butch Davis wanted those pesky NFL out clauses in his contract just like Marvin Lewis did.
I also remember Davis got significantly more to go to UNC. Since Davis is an avid golfer I think UNC is probably a better place for him too.

It's simple really. Hindsight is 20/20. (Insert poster) is pissed off because they thought would be winning national titles 3 years into a MASSIVE rebuilding project. So they think to themselves, "Who did I really want when we were hiring a coach? It obviously wasn't ."
Bo Pelini - 14-7 in his 2nd season with Nebraska. "That's comparable to through 21 games. I definitely didn't want him as a coach."
Butch Davis - 17-16 in his 3rd season with North Carolina. "That's awful. I definitely didn't want him as a coach."
Todd Grantham - Fired as DC of the Browns in 2008 after guiding them to the 30th ranked defense in the NFL. "That's terrible. I definitely didn't want him as a coach."
Pat Shurmur - "Who the hell is that?!?!?!"
Brian Kelly - 30-6 in his 3rd season with Cincinnati. "Yeah, yeah, yeah.
That's the guy I wanted! I knew he'd be great! If we would have hired him we wouldn't have lost a game yet!"
Completely neglecting the fact that he was 19-16 at CMU and the Big East is a dog **** conference. Ask Rich Rodriguez how easy the Big 10 is after you rule the Big East for years on end.

Do you completely neglect the fact that BK didn't take over a 4-8 team? The BT overall has better coaching and players than the BE or the MAC? The BE lost its best BE coach in DickRod? MD brought UC into the BE from CUSA?
